    hi it_email!

CCIE Certification - Routing & Switching (the most popular).
    CCIE Certification - ISP Dial
    CCIE Certification - WAN Switching
    CCIE Certification - SNA/IP Integration
    CCIE Certification - Design
CCIE Certification - Communiation & Services
CCIE Certification - Security (now, Viet Nam have one Mr Tu - FPT Ha Noi).

            - CCIE Routing and Switching

            - CCIE Comunication and Service

            - CCIE Security

            -CCIE Voice .

Series 5400: very cool.

Meet Tom Glennon, One of Only Two Quintuple CCIEs in the World

Known throughout the industry as the doctorate of networking, the CCIE certification is one of the most respected high-level certifications, setting the professional benchmark for internetworking expertise. In fact, there are only 9,499 CCIEs worldwide, with just 3% having achieved multiple certifications. What does it take to achieve one, let alone five CCIE certifications? The desire to strengthen and broaden knowledge and a supportive work environment, according to Tom Glennon, quintuple CCIE #3263.

Tom, an SE with the CTEP Midwest Named region, is the first SP Sales quintuple CCIE. "Tom's achievement is a shining example of the technical excellence within the SE community, as well as the technical expertise and maturity within the SP Sales organization. He truly is a great asset to Cisco and his customers," says Joe Wojtal, VP of Technical Operations.

Tom received his first CCIE certification in 1997 in Routing and Switching, while he was still at Harnischfeger Industries, Inc. There, he met Jeffery Bojarski, a Cisco SE in ESO supporting their account, who became his motivator and study mentor as they worked towards this first certification. Tom achieved his subsequent certifications at Cisco: Dial-ISP in 2000, WAN Switching in 2001, Communications & Services in August 2002, and Security in March 2003.

To those who wonder how Tom finds time out of his demanding work schedule to prepare for the CCIE lab, he has this advice, "Find a way to integrate the particular subject matter into your daily work routine. Break the preparation into manageable portions and incorporate it into some aspect of the customer design work." For example, not only are network perimeter security and MPLS/VPN common themes in most Cisco customers' networks, but they are also major component topics of the Security and C&S tests. Tom also notes that just the sheer effort involved in preparing for the lab forces one to develop a solid understanding of the fundamentals.

Another factor that is instrumental to Tom's success is the overwhelming support he receives from his management and peers. "The Cisco culture truly encourages continual learning, providing both the right resources and environment," says Tom. "I had access to the latest equipment and my manager and colleagues were extremely supportive." Healthy competition also exists among his peers, citing fellow SE, Miles McCredie, who is working on his fourth CCIE, as well as Michael Purcell in ESO Inside Sales, also possessing five CCIEs. In fact, Tom and Michael are the only quintuple CCIEs in the world.

In return, Tom is doing his part to promote this supportive and motivating environment for others. He is the lead mentor in the Greater Chicago Operation Mentor Program, created by his former SEM, Fred Betsoleiman. The purpose is to remove roadblocks and provide encouragement for CCIE candidates in a group atmosphere. The program partners candidates with a CCIE mentor, supplies lab equipment and books, and conducts bi-weekly feedback sessions. "Tom is a catalyst for motivation," says Fred. "But it truly is the team environment that drives new certifications."

With this kind of energy and dedication, it's not surprising the CTEP Midwest Named region expects to achieve 100% certification in the next two months. "Our customers never feel at risk because the team is so well educated, " comments Jeff Steinhauer, Tom's current SEM. "With nearly half the team having multiple certifications, there is always someone who can step in to advise and assist the customer."

With his eye on his sixth CCIE (IP Telephony), the Cisco community wishes Tom continued success. To everyone pursing a CCIE certification, Cisco thanks you for your inspiration, leadership, and commitment to your team and your customers
