    III. Một số lệnh dialer-watch

    • dialer watch-list group-number ip ip-address address-mask : Định nghĩa IP address cần phải giám sát. Địa chỉ được cấu hình phải tồn tại trong bảng routing-table với sunet mask chính xác. Ta cũng có thể cấu hình để giám sát nhiều routes bằng cách dùng lệnh dialer watch-list.

    • dialer watch-group group-number : Cho phép dialer-watch trên backup interface. Group-number được dùng để chỉ ra dialer watch-list sẽ được áp dụng. Lệnh này có thê chỉ cấu hình trên một interface. Điều này có nghĩa là router không thể dùng nhiều interface để làm backup cho một route. Tuy nhiên một interface có thể có nhiều lệnh dialer watch-group với các group-number khác nhau. Và vì vậy một interface có thể được dùng để back up cho nhiều routes.
    • dialer watch-disable seconds : áp đặt thông số thời gian delay cho interface. Sau khi primary interface đã được khôi phục, thông số delay này sẽ ngăn ngừa việc disconnecting backup interface cho khoảng thời gian xác định. Khoảng thời gian này bắt đầu khi IDLE-TIMER bị hết hạn.
    • dialer watch-list group-number delay route-check initial seconds : Lệnh này sẽ cho phép router kiểm tra rằng primary route có đang active hay không. Nếu không có lệnh này, dialer watch chỉ kích hoạt khi primary route bị xóa ra khỏi bảng routing. Nếu primary route không thể UP khi router boot, primary route sẽ không bao giờ được thêm vào bảng routing table. Vì vậy, vơí lệnh này, dialer watch sẽ dial đường backup khi đương primary không thể UP khi router vừa boot ban đầu.

    IV. Kiểm tra cấu hình:

    Để kiểm tra cấu hình, shutdown một trong các interface của FR switch. Route được giám sát (watched route) sẽ bị xóa trong bảng routing tables và đường backup sẽ active.
