Cisco Systems Announces New Voice Professional Certification
Cisco announces a new voice-professional-level certification, CCVP. The new CCVP certification validates the ability of an individual to install, configure, operate, and support complex IP telephony/voice-over-IP (VoIP) networks and applications. The CCVP courses and exams provide a comprehensive curriculum focused on Cisco CallManager, quality of service (QoS), gateways, gatekeepers, IP phones, and voice applications and utilities on Cisco routers and Cisco Catalyst switches.
IP Telephony Expertise in Demand
With more than 60 percent of the Fortune 500 companies using Cisco IP Communications and more than 4 million Cisco IP phones shipped, the demand for highly skilled and knowledgeable professionals continues to grow. CCVP validates the technical skills and knowledge required to deploy, support, and optimize complex IP telephony solutions.
CCVP Certification Curriculum
Individuals who currently hold an IP Telephony Cisco Qualified Specialist certification will find that they have already achieved many of the requirements for the new CCVP. Successful CCVP candidates will acquire many of the broad base voice and application skills that CCIE Voice requires. Following are the courses and exams that comprise the new CCVP certification:
